What We Do

St. Michael's gladly and effectively takes on the glorious mission God has set before us here on His Earth, embracing efforts surrounding participation, Pastoral Care, Hospitality and Fellowship, Christian Education, Worship, and Evangelism. We are home to a large amount of outreach. These include being the host organization for BSA Troop 138, partnering with our resident Seventh Day Adventist and Pentecostal Churches, creating the group "Twisted Stitchers" which creates baptismal quilts and the group "Sassy Stampers" which creates greeting cards, and many more.

In recent years, we have updated our campus. We have updated our heating and cooling capacities, installed a commercial kitchen, completely revised our hall, painted our sanctuary, and 90% of our painted glass windows have been magnificently restored to their original grandeur.

Undoubtedly our most significant outreach ministry is recent years has been the establishment of NEON (Naugatuck Ecumenical Outreach Network). NEON was founded 13 years ago by a parishioner as an effort to fight the growing problem of food insecurity in the area. This has grown to a community-wide nondenominational initiative, providing free community meals to those in need. Through NEON programs, thousands of lives have already been touched in a deep meaningful way.

Our goal is to continue to strengthen these programs with the guidance and support of our community.

Overall, we pride ourselves on being not only the center of our green but also the center of the community of Naugatuck. The presence we share goes way beyond the services on Sundays.
