Vesna directs the parish music program at St. Michael’s Church in Naugatuck, where she serves as choir director and performs on both organ and piano during services. She oversees the parish Choir, Children’s Choir, and Bell Choir, supporting the full scope of the church’s music ministry.

She began her formal music education at the High School for Music in Sarajevo, earning a diploma in Music Theory, Piano Teaching, and Performance. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Conducting and Music Theory at the Sarajevo Music Academy, followed by a Master of Arts in Conducting and Music Theory at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.

Vesna is recognized as the first professional woman to conduct an orchestra in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to her parish work at St. Michael’s, she serves as conductor and music director of the Hamden Symphony Orchestra, teaches music at Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, and is conductor of the Greater Waterbury Youth Symphony.
