Provisional Worship Leader
Timothy Kelly
Timothy, "Tim", Kelly serves as one of our Provisional Worship Leader. According to the Episcopal Church of CT, a Provisional Worship Leader is a layperson who regularly leads public worship under the direction of a Member of the Clergy or other leader exercising oversight of the congregation or other community of faith.
Tim, and his wife Barbara, have been a member of the Parish for over 35 years. After raising 3 children in the Parish, Tim has served many roles. He has served as a member of our Vestry for 3 different terms, one being as the Junior Warden. In addition to being a Provisional Worship Leader, he is head of the Liturgical Assistants and Acolytes. Like many parishioners, He began his involvement in St. Michael's through the Fair. He started as a Chairperson for the Train then as Chairperson for the Country Store, and was a Fair coordinator for 10 years. He now spends his days at the White Elephant Booth selling our treasures.
In furthering his role as Provisional Worship Leader, Tim also is a Justice of the Peace. He can perform your wedding in the church without communion. If this is something you are interested in, please contact the office.
